Our Community, Our Commitment HBV Counseling Toolkit is a unique, multicomponent, CME/CE-certified activity comprised of educational materials to support health care provider's counseling efforts with Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Other Pacific Islander (AANHOPI) patients.
The toolkit includes counseling guides for the health care provider and informational brochures for patients on issues that are critical to their understanding of hepatitis B; the importance of preventing, screening, and testing for hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection, as well as vaccinating against HBV; and the need for early diagnosis and treatment of chronic hepatitis B (CHB). An informative video is also included providing guidance on how to screen, test, counsel, and treat patients. Finally, a resource guide provides additional educational resources on HBV for health care providers and their patients.
